Association of Disabled Professionals
Our services include the provision of employment advice, information and/or peer support for the very many disabled people who contact our helpline and their advisors or friends. We have a 24-hour answerphone service where disabled people can seek advice and support from another disabled person. We feel this is very important as we have learnt that disabled people have a particular, specific, and real need to receive information from other disabled people about issues relating to education, employment and training. Baywatch Campaign
Many disabled people rely on a car to get around. Although there is some accessible public transport it`s still few and far between in many areas. To make full use of their car disabled people rely on being able to park close to their destination. The blue badge scheme and the provision of designated parking for disabled people is supposed to make it easier but all too often disabled people find they can not park because other non-badge holders have parked in the disabled spaces. The Baywatch Campaign has been set up with the objective of ending this abuse. Comments: 0; Added: 03-10-2007)
